Tell us about your background - what has led you to here?

My name is Cassey, I am German and Filipino and grew up in a multi-cultural household in southern California from a tight-knit family. I speak four languages fluently and enjoy being outside but call myself a homebody and surround myself with close friends and family, plants, good books and good food.

What is one thing that not many people would know about you?

That I speak/read/write four languages fluently. Haha!

What does a typical day look like for you?

A typical day would consist of me waking up before my kids, do a light work out and have a cold glass of lemonade before my day starts, I'm not a coffee nor a tea person. Then I wait for my husband to come home from work as he works night shifts as a sheriff's deputy for our city and county.

What makes you happy?

Spending simple days with my family that turn out to be memorable ones. Going to the desert which is local to us and seeing all the old mid century architecture, plant life, and canyon landscapes. I've always found happiness in vintage architecture. So blessed to lived around so many, with an equally amazing history

How do you deal with the mundane moments of Motherhood?

I believe the mundane moments turn out to be my most favorite moments because they are the simple days that wont ever come back. I try to deal with the mundane with as much grace and patience as I can garner to keep each memory sweet.

How would you describe your style?

I'm an eclectic conscious consumer and love bold muted colors but favour crisp white linen over anything. I can work myself around a capsule wardrobe and extend it's life & style as much as I can - and will basically pair anything with vintage high waist denim (shorts in particular as I live in Socal) ha! Minimalism with a flair of dainty prints mixed in with as much rust-colored anything as I can get my hands on!

What is your favourite thing to do if you get a moment to yourself?

I put on Joni Mitchell or Stevie Nicks on the radio and quietly water my plants. Reading a good book in an organized and cozy environment, has always been my favorite past time.

What are your hopes for your future?

To be able to raise my children in a safer world, knowledgeable environment and to simply just enjoy our lives one day at a time without worrying too much about what the future holds for us.

What’s your favourite children’s book?

Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbit, it's taught me about how precious life is. It's opened up a whole new world of what life truly holds for you--paths taken, to love someone, the future. It's an extraordinary book.

What’s your mantra?

Some say they'll move mountains for the one they love, I'd drown the deepest ocean for those who are the most important to me.
